HealthCheckJapan

An independent, source-first guide to medical examinations in Japan — what each test finds, and what it doesn't.

People do not usually go looking for "a health checkup". They go looking for an answer to something specific — whether a lump would show up, whether a stomach can be examined without an X-ray, whether a scan can see a problem before it causes symptoms.

This site works the same way. Each examination has its own page: what it detects, who Japan offers it to and how often, what it cannot settle, and where the rules come from. Every factual claim is traced back to a primary source you can open yourself.

Examinations

One page per test, built from Japan's own screening directives and from published medical literature — including the limits of each test, not only what it can find.

More examinations are being added.
