Does any clinic pay to be listed on HealthCheckJapan?
No. No clinic pays to be listed or ranked anywhere on this site, including the clinic directory and the price data pages. The directory is sorted alphabetically by prefecture and facility name only.
What does JMIP certification mean?
JMIP (the Japan Medical Service Accreditation for International Patients) is a third-party certification, operated by the Japan Medical Education Foundation, for multilingual support and culturally sensitive care for international patients.
Are patient testimonials or before/after results shown on this site?
No. This site does not include patient testimonials or before/after claims.
How are the ningen dock prices on this site calculated, and how complete is the data?
Each price is the lowest published "basic course" price listed on a facility's own official website, checked directly against that source. The current data covers a pilot of 20 facilities across three prefectures (Ishikawa, Shizuoka, and Okinawa); national coverage is a planned future step.
Why doesn't the price page show a price next to each clinic's name?
The price ranges are prefecture-level aggregates, not tied to individual clinics. This is intentional: they're meant to help you judge whether a price you've been quoted is in a normal range, not to rank clinics or point to a "cheapest" option.
